The Morgan Companies Announces Recent Acquisitions and Sales

July, 2018 – The Morgan Companies (“TMC”) is pleased to announce the following real estate transactions.

Fort Lauderdale, FL – TMC acquired a ± .443-acre parcel of land at 1790 E. Commercial Blvd. on June 1, 2018. The current freestanding Verizon store will be redeveloped into a 2,825 square foot facility for Florida Community Bank. Construction on the bank is slated to begin December 2018 with an anticipated opening in July 2019.

Mechanicsville, VA – TMC recently sold a 14,750 square foot Walgreens building at 9268 Chamberlayne Rd., Mechanicsville, VA. The 1.905-acre property sold for $8,770,000 on June 26, 2018. Marcus & Millichap represented TMC in the sale. The Walgreens is part of a four-building shopping center that TMC developed in 2011; TMC will continue to own the remaining retail buildings whose tenants include AutoZone, Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet, Subway, AT&T, and Connects Federal Credit Union.
