Morgan Property Group, LLC donated three residential structures to the Village of Clemmons Fire Department for hands-on training of local firefighters. These homes were acquired as part of a larger 14.179 acre acquisition on July 7, 2016 at the southwest corner of Lewisville Clemmons Road & Peace Haven Road. MPG plans to redevelop this land for a Publix anchored retail development with 75,000+ sf of retail.
The Clemmons Fire Department approached MPG to use these vacant homes for training purposes. On July 22nd, practice drills were performed on-site, including the use of the ladder to breech the roof and forcible exit through a wall, should a firefighter become trapped.
“The firefighters of Clemmons Fire Department express their gratitude and thanks to Morgan Property Group for the use of the structures located 2320, 2330, and 2340 Lewisville Clemmons Road,” said Fire Chief Jerry Brooks. “Basic fire service training and scenario evolutions of possible situations the firefighter may encounter in combating a structure fire are an invaluable asset to our community and department. All of us at Clemmons Fire Department are grateful for the opportunity you folks have provided for us with these structures and we welcome you to our Village and the Clemmons Community with your development project for the property.”
“We believe that being a community partner does not stop at simply building a quality product,” said Trey Morgan, president of MPG. “Chief Brooks and his team are charged with safeguarding people and property in Clemmons, and if we can do a small part to assist them, we are more than happy and proud to do so.”
