New Publix-Anchored Shopping Center Announced in Triangle Area

Clayton, NC (October 2019) – The Morgan Companies (“Morgan Cos.”) and Flowers Plantation are pleased to announce plans for a new Publix-anchored shopping center located 5 miles east of Clayton, NC in Flowers Crossroads at Flowers Plantation.

Marketplace at Flowers Crossroads will be located along N.C. Route 42 at SW Flowers Parkway, which will be extended to Buffalo Road as part of the development. Morgan Cos. will own, develop, and lease the 48,000 square foot Publix and 9,400 square feet of inline retail shops. Construction of the Publix is expected to be completed by Fall 2020.

Morgan Cos. purchased the 6.7-acre Publix parcel on October 7th, 2019. Flowers Plantation will retain and develop the site’s surrounding acreage.

Marketplace at Flowers Crossroads is located within the eastern commercial portion of Flowers Plantation, the largest planned community in the Research Triangle. The 3,000-acre Planned Unit Development, which currently includes 44 neighborhoods, will have approximately 8,000 homes when fully developed.
