The Morgan Companies Closes on Two Florida Properties for New Walgreens Stores

ORLANDO, Florida; SARASOTA, Florida – The Morgan Companies (“TMC”), a leading developer of commercial retail properties in the Southeast, is pleased to announce the acquisition of two properties for the development of new Walgreens drugstores. The first store will be situated on 1.52 acres located on the corner of University Parkway and Lucent Place in Lakewood Ranch, which is a community in Sarasota, Florida. The second store will be situated on 2.11 acres located on the corner of Narcoossee Road and Luminary Boulevard in Lake Nona, which is a community in Orlando, Florida.  TMC will develop a new 15,000 square foot Walgreens drugstore on both properties.

“Walgreens has been a trusted partner of ours for multiple decades,” said Trey Morgan, President of TMC.  “We are proud to deliver Walgreens latest concept store to the communities of Lake Nona and Lakewood Ranch.”

Ocean Bank, based in Miami, Florida, was the lender for TMC on both properties.  Construction will commence on both properties in the first quarter of this year, and deliver in late fall 2024.
